RC Tank Tiger 1

The Tiger 1 RC tank is available from various manufacturers, such as Heng Long and Torro. Amewi also offers a Tiger 1 RC tank. However, Amewi tanks are Hen Long tanks, which, depending on the model, are delivered in a cardboard box or a wooden box with an ammunition box design. We'll discuss the differences between the individual manufacturers later. Most RC Tiger 1 models are made of robust ABS plastic, metal components, and sometimes rubber for the tires. These materials ensure durability and an authentic appearance. High-quality models are often equipped with metal parts to increase weight while ensuring stability and strength.

Heng Long RC Tank Tiger 1

The Tiger 1 RC tank from Heng Long is available in various versions. The standard version has plastic tracks and always features a steel gearbox and metal steering knuckles. This version is the cheapest version, but offers all the features found in the higher-end versions (except for a recoil mechanism). A recoil mechanism is only installed in the Super-Pro version.

The Pro version of the Heng Long Tiger tank features a steel transmission, metal tracks, metal drive wheels, and metal steering knuckles. The Super Pro version also features metal road wheels and a recoil mechanism that retracts the gun barrel when fired. This creates a great effect and makes the Tiger 1 tank even more authentic.

The following functions can be performed with the Heng Long V7.0 2.4 GHz remote control: forward / reverse normal or high-speed (proportional), forward left or right turn [proportional], reverse left or right turn [proportional], turret rotation 320° [160° right / 160° left], cannon raise or lower, BB ammunition firing [or IR signal], machine gun fire, engine on/off, smoke on/off, lighting on/off and volume control. Thanks to the 2.4 GHz technology, up to 50 Tiger tanks can be operated simultaneously without interfering with the other tank's signal. In addition, there is no longer a visible antenna on the tank or the remote control. The remote control has a range of up to 90 meters under good conditions.

Camera and WiFi

The Heng Long V7.0 board features several technical features that make driving the tank even more fun. A small FPV (First Person View) camera can be connected, which can be mounted on the turret or the gun barrel of the RC tank, for example. You can then connect the tank to a smartphone via WiFi and transfer the camera image to your smartphone, while also controlling the tank from your smartphone. The FPV camera is not included with the Heng Long Tiger 1!

Laser

You can also connect a targeting laser to the board, which can be activated individually or shortly before firing. The laser is not included with the tank and must be individually adjusted and installed in/on the gun mantlet. However, this shouldn't be a problem for experienced model builders. Torro Tiger 1

The Tiger 1 RC tank from Torro is available as a Hobby Edition or a Pro Edition, each with a BB gun [6mm BBs] or an IR gun [infrared system]. The IR version of Torro tanks always features a recoil system that causes the gun barrel to recoil when fired, making the RC tank look very realistic. All Torro Tiger 1 tanks also feature a metal-reinforced lower hull that increases weight and ensures stability. The Tiger is also available with optional cannon smoke. This smoke is then released through the gun barrel during firing. This smoke is then visible at the muzzle brake, creating a very realistic effect. All Torro IR models feature a shot flash on the tank's muzzle brake for added realism. The Torro Hobby Editions are delivered in a cardboard box, while the Pro Editions come in a wooden box with an ammunition crate design. The Pro Edition Tiger 1 features additional metal parts such as the turret and wheelbase. All Torro tanks feature a detailed airbrushed paint job.
